American Samoa Govt may ban fishing of sea cucumber |

There’s been a noticeable increase in sea cucumber fishing activities in American Samoa and the Department of Marine and Wildlife Resources is taking action to control it.
Overfishing of sea cucumbers has been reported as a problem in many South Pacific Island Countries over the last few years.
The trend seems to be that businessmen target different island countries, and once the cucumbers have been wiped out they move onto the next country.
