Millions of aid where? |

Isn’t it sad that after four years since the tsunami struck the south coast of Upolu with such deadly force yet it seems nothing much has improved in terms of evacuation and safety procedures?
The undeniable truth is this; in the absence of an evacuation and escape route - at Lalomanu Beach in particular - means that if another tsunami were to strike today, there is no guarantee we wouldn’t suffer the same devastation we did in 2009.
Which is the real tragedy about this whole episode. We say this because surely by now – after all the devastation and millions of aid money – those systems should have been up and running - a long time ago in fact.
